Star Trek Fleet Command is a fleet-and-base strategy game for players who enjoy preparing ships, assigning officers and building long-term plans. Choose it for the decisions around a starship, not because you expect a cockpit flight simulator. Official versions exist for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android; a particular partner offer can cover fewer platforms and countries.

What do you actually do in Fleet Command?
The main loop connects your starbase to your fleet. Facilities and resources support development; ships take you into new systems; officers change what a ship can do; alliances introduce cooperation and conflict with other players. Scopely’s official game overview presents these as connected systems rather than isolated missions.
That makes preparation part of play. A useful session starts with a job: explore, complete an objective or collect something needed for development. You then choose an appropriate available ship and crew. Spixla recommends judging an upgrade by the job it enables, rather than treating every increase in a power number as equally valuable.
Who is it a good fit for?
Consider it if you like the Star Trek setting, collecting familiar ships and characters, and gradually making a complicated system understandable. It also suits players who enjoy discussing plans with a group. You do not need to know every series to start learning the interface.
Look elsewhere if you want a self-contained story with a fixed ending, immediate access to every famous ship, or direct manual piloting. Before committing time or money, try the opening loop and ask whether its management decisions feel interesting even without the franchise names. Setting and gameplay fit are different questions.
PC, Mac and an existing mobile account
Use the correct client from the official site. Scopely’s desktop support instructions tell existing mobile players to save with a Scopely Account and use those credentials on desktop. New desktop players can complete the tutorial and then save their account through Settings. The Mac instructions specify installing the app in Applications.
Before installing, confirm your operating system, available storage, account access and the requirements shown by the current installer. We have not benchmarked this game or verified a universal hardware specification. A Windows/Mac offer on Spixla is an eligibility label, not a promise that every regional account or installation method qualifies.
A focused first session
- Follow the tutorial until you can identify your active objective and the ship assigned to it. Avoid starting several unrelated plans before understanding one.
- Read each available officer’s ability location. The captain’s maneuver, a bridge ability and a below-deck ability are not interchangeable.
- Recall a ship before changing its officers. Compare the intended task with the ability wording instead of choosing by portrait or rarity alone.
- After one mission, note what limited you: the objective requirement, the ship, the crew or a resource. Solve that specific problem before spreading upgrades across the roster.
The ability and assignment rules come from the official Officers Guide; the session order is our learning recommendation, not a tested fastest-progression route.
Common questions
Can I continue my mobile progress on a computer?
Scopely documents that route through a saved Scopely Account. Check the account already holding your progress before signing in on the new device.
Does the strongest officer belong in the captain’s seat?
Not automatically. Read the captain ability and its conditions. Location and synergy matter, so a generic power ranking is not a complete assignment rule.
Where should a new player go next?
Use our captain, bridge and below-deck guide for that specific decision, or the first-week guide for broader orientation. Compare alternatives in sci-fi and space games.
