The combat-and-production loop
Up to four Operators fight together, while you switch which one you control. Basic attacks help build toward stagger and recover the skill resource SP; skills and conditional combo abilities add further decisions. Away from battle, the AIC lets you automate supplies such as equipment and medical items. Its output supports development and exploration, so the factory is more than a decorative base.

The important idea for a newcomer is the connection between systems: a combat obstacle may send you back to preparation, while a production goal gives purpose to exploration. You do not need to understand an elaborate factory diagram before testing whether that back-and-forth appeals to you.
Who it suits
Endfield is an especially relevant option if you like asking both “how should I handle this fight?” and “why has this production line stopped?” It may be less suitable if you want only action with no interest in industrial planning, or only a factory sandbox with no interest in character combat.
Evaluate the two halves separately in your opening sessions. Enjoying the visual setting does not automatically mean you will enjoy organising production. Conversely, you may find that solving a small supply problem is the part that makes you want to return. This is a fit-based assessment, not a claim that one side matters more for every player.
Platforms and checks before installation
The official pre-download notice lists Windows PC, PS5, Android and iOS. Check your platform’s hardware requirements and the launcher’s current space request. PC installation can require temporary extraction space in addition to the finished files; leave capacity for updates rather than planning around launch-size figures alone.
If you already have PC or mobile progress and want to use PS5, read the PSN account FAQ before the first login. Linking the existing Gryphline account is part of that initial flow. Shared progress also depends on the same server, and PS5 server selection follows the PSN region. Do not assume a newly created console account will merge with an existing one afterward.
A useful first-session plan
In combat, first notice what your basic attacks contribute before spending every available skill immediately. In the factory, choose one output to understand and trace the inputs and facilities that produce it. When something stops, change one part at a time so you can tell what solved the problem.
