Neverness to Everness, often shortened to NTE, is a supernatural urban open-world RPG from Hotta Studio. You explore Hethereau, work around the antique shop Eibon and investigate anomalies with companions who have unusual powers. It is worth considering if you want city life and side activities alongside action, rather than a fantasy journey built mainly around wilderness travel. The developer’s gameplay introduction explains that premise.

The gameplay loop
The core adventure follows supernatural incidents and the people involved in them. Companions’ abilities are used in combat, including combinations described as Esper Reactions. Away from those encounters, the city provides a different pace: the producer’s launch gameplay overview describes driving, running storefronts, delivery and taxi work, fishing, and cooperative heists.
That mixture is the main reason to investigate NTE. You might spend one session on a story incident and another exploring the urban activities. Do not assume every advertised mode is immediately available to a fresh account, or that optional city activities are substitutes for learning combat. Use the introduction to work out which parts you actually enjoy.
Who it suits—and who may prefer another game
NTE looks like a promising fit if the idea of an anime city you can inhabit interests you as much as its battles. If your ideal RPG has no driving, business activities or changes of pace, its broader urban focus may be less appealing. That is a preference distinction, not a claim about the quality or amount of any one mode.
For a useful first-session test, ask two questions: do you like moving through Hethereau, and do you want to learn what the companions’ powers do? If only one side appeals, keep that in mind before committing more time. Our anime RPG games hub provides other styles to compare.
Platforms and the account decision
The official launch FAQ lists Windows PC, Mac, Android, iOS and PS5, including PS5 Pro. Progress sharing requires the same account and server. Asia, America, Europe and SEA are separate server choices; installing on another device does not merge progress across them.
Check the requirements for your chosen platform and leave room for extraction as well as the installed game. The FAQ’s launch-era space figures are not a permanent download-size guarantee. Choose your intended server before building progress, especially if friends or another device are part of your plan.
For existing PC or mobile progress moving to PS5, the publisher’s PlayStation FAQ instructs players to link a PWG Email first. It also says a linked PWG Email cannot be changed or unlinked. Read those steps carefully rather than experimenting with a second login. Our NTE account-linking guide focuses on that decision.
A practical first-session approach
Start by confirming your account and server, then give the opening combat explanations your attention. When a new ability appears, read its effect and try it deliberately before cycling through everything at once. After that, sample one city activity rather than treating the entire activity list as a checklist. This is a learning plan, not a claim that a particular reward route is optimal.
Can I play NTE on Mac?
Yes. Mac appears in the official platform list; verify its specific requirements rather than using the Windows specifications.
Does NTE share progress across platforms?
Yes, with the same account and server. Platform login and linking requirements still matter.
Is it only a combat RPG?
No. Driving and other city activities sit alongside its supernatural story and action systems.
